The Wonder Barn Nursery is situated in the picturesque, rural village of Green Tye, just a short drive from Bishops Stortford.
We are two very successful and passionate Early Years Teachers with over 40 Years of combined experience in teaching, leading and advising in outstanding schools and settings. We wanted to create a bespoke nursery that offered all children the opportunity to explore exceptional and rich play-based, creative learning where they can grow and develop, making them well prepared for starting school with advanced skills and knowledge that will help them thrive throughout their education.
The Wonder Barn offers a large outdoor space in the countryside where children can deepen their connection with nature, improve their holistic development and promote more inclusive and engaging learning, promoting their future life skills.
With a wealth of nature on our doorstep, children can explore in our secure 2-acre site and visit the chickens, ducks, geese and other animals that share our special location.
At The Wonder Barn, we believe that each child is a unique individual and that all children learn best through meaningful play, led by highly skilled and experienced staff.
The Wonder Barn offers a real ‘home from home’ learning space where children feel happy and safe.
The Wonder Barn offers childcare for children from 0-5 Years from 8-4pm with a limited number of under 2 spaces.
As teachers ourselves, we understand that not all families need or want childcare 52 weeks of the year. Therefore The Wonder Barn offers term time only spaces with ‘pay as you go’ holiday care available as and when you need it. Saving you money and giving families greater flexibility.
